The Four Document Statuses
Each document you upload goes through a verification process. The status chip on each document card shows where it is in this process.
Status | Color | Meaning | Action Required |
Pending | Gray | Document has not been uploaded yet | Upload your document |
Under Review | Yellow/Amber | Document uploaded and awaiting verification | Wait for review (24-48 hours) |
Verified | Green | Document approved and accepted | None |
Rejected | Red | Document not accepted | Upload a corrected document |
Understanding Each Status
Pending
What it means: The document slot is waiting for you to upload a file.
What you see:
Gray status chip labeled "Pending"
Upload area with drag-and-drop zone or upload button
Hint text explaining what to upload
What to do: Upload the required document.
Under Review
What it means: Your document has been received and is being reviewed by the MyStaysCo team.
What you see:
Yellow/amber status chip labeled "Under Review"
Upload timestamp (e.g., "Uploaded Dec 15, 2:30 PM – Under Review")
View button to preview your uploaded document
What to do: Wait. You will receive an email when the review is complete. Standard review time is 24-48 hours, with full verification taking 1-3 business days.
Verified
What it means: Your document has been reviewed and approved.
What you see:
Green status chip labeled "Verified"
Green background tint on the document card
View and Download buttons
What to do: Nothing. This document is complete. You can view or download it anytime.
Rejected
What it means: Your document was not accepted and needs to be replaced.
What you see:
Red status chip labeled "Rejected"
A rejection reason explaining why (e.g., "Document is older than 3 months")
"Upload New Document" button
What to do: Read the rejection reason carefully, then upload a corrected document.
Tracking Overall Progress
At the top of the Documents page, a progress bar shows your overall verification status:
"0 of 3 documents uploaded" — No documents submitted yet
"2 of 3 documents uploaded" — Partial completion
"All required documents verified!" — Ready to apply for properties
