Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Navigate to Your Property Matches
From your Dashboard, click "My Housing Request(s)" in the navigation menu
Find the request with status showing "Matches Found"
Click to view your available property matches
Step 2: Open the Property You Want to Apply For
Browse your property matches in List, Split, or Map view
Click on a property card to open the full Property Detail page
Review the property information, amenities, and pricing
Step 3: Start the Application
Locate the "Apply Now" button
Click "Apply Now" to open the Application Wizard
The wizard opens as a full-screen overlay
Step 4: Review the 2-3x Rent Rule (Step 1)
The first screen explains why income information is required:
Property Rent: Shows the monthly rent for this property
Recommended Income: Shows the minimum net income needed (2-3x the rent)
Data Protection: Your information is encrypted, shared only with landlords, and deleted if unsuccessful
Click "I Understand, Continue" to proceed.
Step 5: Enter Your Financial Information (Step 2)
Enter your Net Monthly Income (take-home pay after taxes)
The system calculates your Rent-to-Income Ratio in real-time
Review the eligibility indicator:
Green (>2x): Strong application β meets requirements
Yellow (2x): Valid application β meets overall requirements
Red (<2x): Below threshold β The agency might decide not to move forward with your application.
Optionally add your Employer Name (if employed)
Click "Continue" to proceed.
Step 6: Review and Submit (Step 3)
This final step shows a summary of your application:
Property Summary: Photo, title, location, and price
Contact Information: Verify your name, email, and phone (click to edit if needed)
Application Details: Income, move-in date, household, pets, employment
Required Documents: Status of each required document
Green checkmark β = Verified
Amber clock π = Under Review
Missing documents must be uploaded before submission
Eligibility Assessment: Shows your overall application strength
Confirmation Checkbox: Check the box to confirm accuracy
Click "Submit Application" to finalise.
Step 7: View Confirmation
After submission, you will see:
A success message confirming your application was sent
"What happens next" information notification by email
A button to return to your Dashboard
What Happens Next
Your request status changes to "Application Under Review"
The landlord or real estate agency reviews your application
You receive notifications about viewing appointments or decisions
Track your application status on your Dashboard
