Step-by-Step Instructions
For Temporary Stays
Step 1: Access the Location Step
Navigate through the wizard until you reach the "Preferred Location" step.
You see: "Choose preferred area."
Step 2: Choose a Region
Or
Select your workplace as an alternative preferred location option.
For Long-term Housing
Step 1: Access the Location Step
Navigate through the wizard until you reach the "Location Preferrence" step.
You see: "Tell us where you'd like to stay" where you can type manually various preferred locations.
Or Choose a Region
1. Click the "Preferred Region" dropdown.
2. Select from options such as:
No preference — Open to all areas
Centre — Luxembourg City, Mersch and surrounding areas
South — Esch-sur-Alzette, Dudelange, etc.
North — Diekirch, Ettelbruck, etc.
East — Echternach, Grevenmacher, etc.
Note: Region names may vary depending on your target country (Luxembourg, Portugal, etc.).
Step 3: Select Cantons (Optional)
After selecting a region, canton options expand below.
Each canton shows a collapsible section.
Click the canton name to expand and see communes.
Step 4: Select Specific Communes
Within each canton, communes appear as selectable chips.
Click a commune chip to select it (turns purple when selected).
Click again to deselect.
Use "Select all" to select all communes in a canton.
Step 5: Review Your Selection
A counter shows how many locations you have selected.
A summary card at the bottom displays your current selection.
What Happens Next
Your location preferences are saved to your request.
Properties in your selected areas are prioritised during sourcing.
If no exact matches exist, nearby alternatives may be suggested.
